Tiddlers

This is a group for pre-school children to come to with Mums and Dads which is run on the 2nd and 4th Fridays on each month. We meet at 2.00pm for about an hour.

Dolphins Children's Worship

In April 2006, we saw the introduction of our "Dolphins Worship Centre" in a converted mobile home, where children aged from 4 to 10+ come to worship God using Godly play on the first Sunday of the month at 9.45am.

We have created in the Worship Centre a space where children are surrounded with artefacts which focus on the main elements of the Christian faith, together with materials used in the story-telling which is the centre-point of each session. The stories give children a secure knowledge of both Old and New Testament scripture. The children learn to regard the Worship Centre as a special place where they can listen and talk to God on their own terms, a place where they move and talk in a special, quiet way. Their worship follows a similar pattern to that which is going on in the Church, and even includes some of the same language, a bible, candles, cloths in the appropriate liturgical colour, and finishes with a 'feast'! In this way, children become familiar with the "grown-up" order of service and will eventually have a greater understanding of it.
