St. Helen's Church

St Helen’s celebrated the 150th anniversary of its consecration in 2005 and is to be found on Church Lane beyond Dry Sandford County Primary School. It is a Grade I listed building, principally because it is largely unchanged inside or out since it was built.

It has a small congregation and continues to use the Book of Common Prayer for the majority of its services. For over 100 years Cothill House School has used the church as its Chapel and the boys gather for worship at 10am each Sunday in term time. Parishioners are welcome to attend. It has fewer services than St Peter’s but special services for the joint Benefice are held from time to time.

Service timings:

8am First Sunday Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer)

10am Each Sunday in term time Cothill House School Service

11.30am Third Sunday Family Worship (not Communion, contemporary language)

6 pm Second Sunday Evening Prayer followed by Holy Communion
